Dear Mr Grant,
I would like to introduce myself, my name is Rachel Troop & I'm the general manager of The Rams Head.
I have currently been on annual leave but have been kept informed of everything that has been said & the concerns that have been bought forward from guests & the community alike. I would like to firstly put across that the car park charges have not been an easy decision to make, I need to put my guests first & being able to find a parking spot. The car park is not regularly empty, it is actually nearly full before we even open. We are currently trying to come up with scheme with LPS that will insure that the local community can use the car park for quick errands, we are the centre of the community & would like to somehow keep within the community spirit. The car park charges have been aimed at people who use our car park all day whilst travelling from the train station, therefore will not be receiving a refund. This is not a profit making scheme, this is purely for the best interests of my guests & my pub.
I have enclosed an attachment* with all the relevant questions & answers that have been put forward & all the information that is needed for the car park charges. If you would like to discuss further then please do not hesitate to give me a call & we can arrange a meeting to discuss.

When will the charges commence??
The car park charges will begin on the 28th January.
When will I incur charges??
Monday-Friday between the times of 9.00am-6pm
What are the charges??
20p for up to 1 hour
£2.00 for up to 3 hours
£5.00 for the whole day
Will we get a refund??
If you are using the car park up to 1 hour you will not receive a refund.
If you are using the car park for up to 3 hours you will get a full refund when spending a minimum of £2.00 at the Pub
If you are using the car park for the whole day you will not receive a refund
Why is their a charge??
Unfortunately due to excessive number of cars parking in our car park, we have found our guests have sometimes found difficulty in parking and felt this was the best way to ensure that our Guests can park when they want to visit the Pub
What about the community wanting to use your car park??
Local residents in Disley wanting to use our car park will need to buy a 20p ticket, this will be for the use of the car park for 1 hour, we would like to recommend that if you are using the car park for 1 hour but would still like to pop in to patron with us, if you bought a £2.00 car park ticket you would receive the full £2.00 back.
What if we come to visit you & would like to leave our car parked over night??
This option is available to you, if you let a member of management know that you would like to keep your car overnight we can add you onto the cancellation form & your car will need to be picked up by 1pm If 1pm is not suitable for you then please let us know & we will change the time for your convience.
We would also like to let our guests know & the local community that if we d have severe snow conditions or your car beaks down in our car park again please let us know that you would like to leave you car in the car park & we will let LPS know that you are on the cancellation list for the specific period of time.
We would like to take this opportunity to let all of our customers know that this car park charge had not been an easy option for us to put into place but unfortunately we have had no other alternative. This is not a profit making exercise this is to ensure our guests are able to find parking spaces within our car park & the maintenance of the car park. This is one of the many aspects that LPS will be dealing with.
